Rocío Heredia is a mexican contemporary artist specializing in metalsmithing techniques of Chasing and Repousse to raise intricate designs on silver, copper, gold, brass and tin. Rocio has been the recipient of recognition and awards for skillful and passionately realized themes. It's BTDesign's pleasure to award Rocío Heredia with this Exhibition, with the best compliments of the Jury and Gallery owner. The basic technique for creating repoussé is an ancient one, with specific techniques, tools, and materials dependant on history and culture. The work of Rocío Heredia reflects the tradition that evolved in Mexico, a tradition rich in the complexities of Spanish conquest and the aboriginal Aztec and Teotihuacan societies. Rocio has studied with the Master Valentin Yotkov and Master Dolores Valenza, in New York. Her works are in public and private collections in Mexico, the United States, Switzerland, Israel, Spain and Italy. Rocio holds a Degree in Psychology and currently divides her time between professional website creation, graphic design and metalwork. Rocio is available and teaches private classes and workshops on her Chasing and Repousse technique in Mexico and abroad. Her works are in public and private collections in Mexico, the USA, Switzerland, Israel, Spain and Italy. Rocio holds a Degree in Psychology and currently divides her time between professional website creation, graphic design and metalwork
